Childhood Immunisations
You will receive an appointment for any childhood immunisations for a Thursday morning, we have arrange for the health visitors to be here at that time and the GP's are available for Post-Natal examinations (by appointment).
Ante-Natal
The Midwives are here every Wednesday between 11am and 1pm, if you have just find out you a pregnant it is important you book in with the Midwife as soon as possible so that can arrange for your 12 week scan and get you booked in at the hospital. To book an appointment, please contact reception.
Cervical Screening
The NHS Cervical Screening Programme invites all women between the ages of 25 and 64 for cervical screening either 3 yearly or 5 yearly depending on your age. When you receive a letter in the post, please contact the surgery to make an appointment.

Blood Tests
Blood Testing
The practice will supply you with a blood form if you need a blood test, this will either be given to you at surgery or will be sent to you in the post as part of our Annual Review recall system.
You will need to contact the surgery between 7 to 10 days later to receive the results of your blood test and find out what you need to do next.

From Newton-Le-Willows
Follow Signs for Leigh going under the M6 motorway bridge. Take the second left onto Stone Cross Lane North. At the traffic lights, turn left and then immediately right to cross over the East Lancs.
From the East Lancs
Come off at Stone Cross (by McDonalds), at roundabout take 3rd exit. At Hare and Hounds traffic lights, go straight on down Slag Lane. Immediately after the pedestrian lights crossing, turn right into Braithwaite Road - we are on the right hand side opposite the children's play area.
From Wigan
Follow signs for Golborne (A577 and A573), after driving through Platt Bridge and Abram you will enter the outskirts of Golborne bear left at the mini roundabout taking the B5207 for Lowton. At the Hare and Hounds traffic lights, turn left onto Slag Lane. Immediately after the pedestrian lights crossing, turn right onto Braithwaite Road - we are on the right hand side opposite the children's play area.
From Ashton-In-Makerfield
Follow signs for Bolton (A58), turn right onto the B5207 signposted for Golborne. At the end of the road, turn right and then bear left at the mini roundabout continuing on the B5207 for Lowton. At the Hare and Hounds traffic lights, turn left onto Slag Lane. Immediately after the pedestrian lights crossing, turn right onto Braithwaite Road - we are on the right hand side opposite the children's play area.
From Leigh
Take Plank Lane heading towards Lowton/Golborne. Plank Lane becomes Slag Lane - on entering Lowton take the 3rd right immediately before the pedestrian light crossing onto Braithwaite Road we are on the right hand side opposite the children's play area.

Leigh Walk In Centre Offers healthcare advice and treatment without having to make an appointment, take time off or rearrange your day. You can find it located in the last building to the left hand side of the main entrance at Leigh Infirmary. It is open from 07.00am in the morning to 9.00pm at night, seven days a week.
