SSP Health News - Blooming Great Tea Party

Blooming Great Tea Party
The patient participation Group from Upton Rocks Surgery organised a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ on 22nd June 2011 to raise money for the Marie Curie charity. Both the patient group and staff at Upton Rocks Surgery baked cakes and served tea all day raising over £200.

Local businesses donated gifts for the raffle prizes which included 2 tickets to watch a Liverpool FC match in a corporate box with lunch included, plus lots of other great prizes.

The Medical Director from SSP Health Ltd also attended the fundraising event held at Upton Rocks Surgery which is one of 18 practices in the northwest owned by the GP husband and wife team of Dr Sanjay & Shikha Pitalia.

The Patient Participation group are also holding a petition to lobby the PCT to give the practice new building as the surgery has been in a porta cabin for the past 11 years and patients feel they have been overlooked by the PCT for too long.
