Please call 0161 277 5600 to make a GP Appointment or to register with the Practice.
We have both male and female GPs at New Bank Health Centre and you are welcome to request a particular GP should you wish to do so.
We offer on the day appointments for patients who need to be see urgently.
We are able to offer routine GP appointments quickly and at a time which is convenient to you.

We are pleased to be able to offer the services of a Nurse Clinician at New Bank Health Centre.
Louise Wainwright is a highly qualified and skilled nurse who is able to treat, diagnose and prescribe for all minor ailments and most major ailments. You may find that it is more appropriate and sometimes quicker to see Louise, rather than a GP, for your problem.
Chronic Disease Management
Our nurses are here to help you manage your health. If you have any of the following conditions, you will be asked to come in for reviews every so often so that we can check everything is OK.

We offer an ante-natal clinic with the midwife on Monday morning.
We also have regular visits from an alcohol counsellor and mental health worker.

Blood Tests
Blood Testing
The practice will supply you with a blood form if you need a blood test. This will either be given to you at surgery or will be sent to you in the post as part of our Annual Review recall system.
Blood testing is done at the practice by our health care assistant or practice nurse. If you have been given a form, please contact reception to make an appointment.
You will need to contact the surgery between 5 to 7 working days later to receive the results of your blood test and find out what you need to do next.

New Bank Health Centre is located on the A6 (Stockport Road) at the junction with Plymouth Grove in Longsight.
We have a car park which patients and visitors are welcome to use.

New Bank Health Centre is served well by major bus routes including the number 192 bus that runs from Piccadilly Gardens in central Manchester right through to Stockport. The service runs regularly every few minutes.

A walk-in service is available at: Hawthorns Medical Centre, Unit K - Fallowfield Retail Park, Birchfields Road, Manchester, M14 6FS. Open 8.00am - 8.00pm on weekdays and 9.00am - 5.00pm on weekends. Patients are welcome to walk-in without an appointment.
