BBC show comes live from SSP Health practice

It was great to host BBC Radio’s 5 Live Drive show at our Bolton Medical Centre, giving listeners a snapshot of life in a GP practice.
With features and interviews with our staff and patients, the programme revealed the pressures that GP surgeries face and how Bolton Medical Centre and its nearby sister surgery of Bolton General Practice – with the help of colleagues across SSP Health – are overcoming these challenges to offer excellent healthcare to our patients.
Many thanks to presenter Tony Livesey and the Radio 5 Live team for highlighting how hard our staff work, reflecting their passion for the NHS and how they are improving patients’ health by innovating, as well as increasing efficiencies in the very stretched primary care sector.
Thanks to Bolton CCG for attending to give its viewpoint and support and thanks, too, to the staff and patients who took part.
Listen to the show again on this link to hear interviews from Bolton across the whole three hours…
