SSP Health operates and manages 40+ GP practice sites in the North West. We are currently delivering a new Contact Centre to answer calls for our practices. The Contact Centre aims to provide an enhanced general practice appointment booking service to NHS patients through the use of technology and our Contact Centre.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new Contact Centre which you can help shape. Supporting the Contact Centre Manager and Team Leader, the post holder will provide a comprehensive health advice and booking service for patients registered with our GP practices - this area may expand to other SSP practices.

This is a role working as part of a team providing a professional booking service to patient requirements, in which there is a high degree of responsibility for ensuring patients contacting the service are booked into the most appropriate appointment type. The role also includes identifying the most appropriate service(s) to meet the patients immediate and ongoing needs.

The post holder will be based in Wigan and will work alongside both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure that patient needs are met  within set timescales ensuring a quality patient experience.

The SSP Contact Centre will be open 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday; the candidate will be required to provide the service during these core hours. These hours may expand in the future to provide cover 8:00am to 6.30pm

£10.42 per hour

Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wigan, WN3 5AZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
