On the 28th July 2017 Bolton Medical Centre celebrated world hepatitis day. As Hepatitis is a major issue among migrant communities as well as IV drug users in this country. We celebrated this day in our surgery and patients where invited to walk in and speak to medical professionals to see how they can protect themselves from the disease. One of our GPs Dr Abdul Hafeez delivered a presentation for anyone in the community who wanted to know more. We felt as a practice this was a topic of great interest to the general public as the NHS is spending a huge amount of money on treating patients and prevention is the best way forward.
