Patients at our Wigan practices had a fun festive time to get them into the seasonal spirit.
Patients with dementia, their carers and friends were invited to a Dementia Friendly Carol Concert and Tea Dance.
The event featured carols led by Wigan's Lifelines Dementia-Friendly Choir and a singalong from local entertainer Paul Jordan. Wigan Mayor Cllr Steve Dawber also popped in to meet staff and guests.
Organisations that brought information for dementia sufferers and their carers included the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation, promoting their Rugby Memories project, Wigan Alzheimer’s Society and the National Institute for Health Research.
SSP Health’s Chief Operating Officer Noeleen Bailey said: “It was a lovely afternoon and really got everyone into the Christmas spirit.
“We want to say a big thank-you to Lifelines for leading us all in their Christmas songs and we are grateful to all the organisations which attended to give our patients valuable information.”
