We want to recruit salaried GPs
We require dynamic and enthusiastic full or part-time GPs in our SSP Health practices across the North West of England, which are highly rated by the CQC.
GPs are needed in the areas listed below, although the ultimate location will be decided by mutual agreement:
• Wigan, Leigh and Ashton-in-Makerfield
As the biggest provider of GP services in the North West, we are proud to have 35 practices all rated by the CQC as ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’ and we are committed to continually improving the quality of patient services whilst meeting SSP Health’s contractual obligations.
The company employs almost 500 people and has a head office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. It cares for approximately 140,000 patients.
SSP Health has pioneered the role of Practice Champions to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Each practice is required to have nominated Cancer Champion and Carer Champion. In 2015, SSP Health was named Primary Care Provider of the Year at the UK Healthcare Awards for excellence by LaingBuisson.
You will be working as a community GP providing clinical care in a strong, friendly team with other healthcare professionals – including pharmacists, HCAs and ANPs – and a highly-efficient admin team which allows our doctors to focus on treating patients.
The successful applicant will be fully qualified, be motivated to provide excellent patient care and want to develop clinical services within the practice. We especially want to hear from experienced GPs with skills to deliver enhanced services.
With a keen focus on developing our teams, we offer in-house continuing professional development to support your appraisal and revalidation. Advice, leadership and guidance from senior GPs is always available.
We are a licensed Tier 2 sponsor.
The rate for a salaried GP is from £9,500 per session. NHS pension is available.
