Temporary reduction in reception services

Due to a case of COVID-19 relating to our practice, some of our patient-facing admin staff have had to self-isolate for precautionary reasons and are having to work from home.
Therefore, we have not been able to run the same level of reception service over the past couple of days. We apologise for this but hope our patients will understand that in the current circumstances, we must follow NHS guidelines on self-isolation.
We take the safety of patients and staff very seriously and a full deep clean of the surgery has been completed. No GPs or other clinical staff have been affected.
We will have temporary reception staffing problems in the coming days and so our practice reception may only be available for reduced hours, and will only open from 10am on Monday.
Patients can still access our practice via online services or on our telephone line, however due to the situation the number of phone lines have been reduced and your call may take longer to answer.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we are sure our patients will understand this is due to exceptional circumstances relating to the pandemic and we are trying hard to return to normal service as quickly as possible.
