We have adapted our appointment system to offer a range of appointments to suit all patients. You can book appointments by calling the surgery or using Online Patient Access (you will need to register for this access, please ask at reception)


This includes:

  • Same Day appointments 

Nurse Appointments

Our nurse is here to help you manage your health Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. If you have any of the following conditions, our nurse wants to see you every year to check that everything's going OK.

  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • Heart Disease
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Stroke
  • Heart Failure
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis


Nurse Practitioner Appointments

Our Nurse Practitioner is here to help you manage your health every Tuesday afternoon. She is able to prescribe medications with the exception of anti-depressants and see's all of our patients over the age of 1 years old. 


The Nurse Practitioner is fully supported by the GP on site and if she feels a doctor's opinion is needed, will speak to him whilst you are there; the Nurse Practitioner is an experienced health care professional who you can also see you for your annual reviews.



The practice also has an HCA who works Tuesday afternoon weekly, you can make an appointment to see the HCA for routine blood pressure checks, new patient checks and health checks. 


Cervical Screening

The NHS Cervical Screening Programme invites all women between the ages of 25 and 64 for cervical screening either 3 yearly or 5 yearly depending on your age.  When you receive a letter in the post, please contact the surgery to make an appointment. 


Travel Vaccinations

Going abroad? Give us a call and we will advise you on which vaccines you may require and book you with our Practice Nurse to have them. We usually need you to book 4-6 weeks in advance of any travel you may be taking.



Baby Vaccination clinic

The surgery holds a vaccination clinic on alternate Mondays in conjunction with our Health Visitor.  You can book an appointment for Childhood Immunisations at reception.


The Health Visitors can be contacted 5 days a week across the city for healthy baby clinics. Please ask at reception for details of the venues..



If you have recently found out that you are pregnant you can ring Liverpool Womens Hospital Early Access Team for your first booking appointment on 0151 247 4747


Your follow up appointments can be at the surgery.


The Midwives are here every alternate Wednesday between 9.30 am and 12.00noon. 


Health Checks

All New patients are offered a New Patient Health Check.  You will be offered general health and lifestyle advice including a BP check, take a record of your height and weight, smoking cessation advice. We also offer Chlamydia testing.


The practice also offers Health Checks specifically for our patients aged 40-74 years.  Please ring and book your appointment with our Health Care Assistant.


We have a Health Trainer in practice who provides advice on diet, alcohol, exercise and smoking every Monday. 

Blood Tests

As part of our Annual Review Health Checks, the practice may require you to have a blood test. We will supply you with a blood form, this will either be given to you at  surgery or will be sent to you in the post as part of our Annual Review recall system.


Please check whether your form asks you to fast. If you are required to fast, please have only sips of water for 8 hours before the test. Please take any medication as normal.


You will need to contact the surgery between 7 to 10 days later to receive the results of your blood test and find out what you need to do next.


Phlebotomy Clinics (blood taking) are available at various designated surgeries throughout Liverpool.  We will give you a leaflet with information about this service.

Out of Hours

During the hours the surgery is closed our calls will be diverted to NHS 111. Calls to NHS 111 are free from both mobile and landlines. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency during these times please dial 999

Monday to Friday 9:00-21:00

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 9:00-17:00

Cancelling Your Appointments

Our text-to-cancel services allows you to send a simple text message directly to your practice to cancel your appointment, allowing it to be given to another patient.

By letting us know if you no longer need an appointment, we can ensure we offer as many available appointments as possible.
