Our surgery is giving vaccines at care homes

The SSP Health vaccination team at our Ince surgeries has been given an award by one of the care homes where they administered their vaccines.
Ash Tree House Care Home, in Wigan, gave our vaccinators its Heroes Of The Week award after the elderly residents were injected with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The team which won the award from the care home were Dr Victor Ilubaera, Practice Nurse Hannah Vose, Practice Nurse Vicky Parkinson and Admin Assistant Dionne Liptrot.
However, the wider team who have been vaccinating people in care homes across Hindley PCN also included HCAs Jayne Clark and Ashley Fern; ANPs Tracy Williams and Trudy Lowe and Admin Assistant Andrea Fant.
Janet Ingham, Practice Manager at Claire House Surgery, said: “Our team has been working hard all week to hit our target of having all care homes in the area covered. They received lots of lovely comments from staff and residents.
“To be given the award of Heroes of the Week was the icing on the cake of a successful initiative. It was a really nice gesture by the home and shows how grateful everyone is to have the vaccine.”
Please do not ring your surgery about the vaccine - we will contact you when the time is right to have yours.
