SSP Health has shown its commitment to our armed forces and veterans by pledging to support them in its GP practices across the North West.
SSP has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, which supports regular, reservist and former personnel and their families, ensuring they are not disadvantaged in the services they require and giving special consideration to their needs.
The Covenant means SSP will promote itself as being armed forces-friendly; support the employment of veterans and their partners; recognise leave requirements; encourage staff who wish to be reservists and support cadet units and armed forces events.
In time for VE Day in May, 2020, all our GP practices were officially recognised as Veteran Friendly, meaning they give special attention to the medical and social needs of ex-service personnel.
