Main duties of the job
Our model allows you to focus on providing high quality, patient lead, clinical care in a professional and friendly team alongside other healthcare professionals. We have invested, and continue to invest, significantly in highly-efficient admin teams and centralised support functions that allow our GPs to focus on treating and caring for patients, rather than on unnecessary and time-consuming admin. In addition, there are opportunities for leadership roles and progression, without the responsibility and burden of being a partner.
The successful applicants will be fully qualified, be motivated to provide excellent patient care and want to develop clinical services as part of a team. In addition to experienced doctors and those with skills to deliver enhanced services, we would like to hear from newly qualified GPs. We have a team of senior GPs together with local Lead GPs who are readily available to support, offering advice, leadership and guidance.
We are keen to develop our teams and offer an excellent in-house continuing professional development scheme to support appraisal and revalidation and portfolio career options. We encourage and support our GPs to follow their special interests including training practice status, gynaecological services and minor surgery.
As the biggest provider of GP services in the North West, we are proud to have 40+ surgery locations all rated by the CQC as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’.
SSP Health cares for over 160,000 patients. We pioneered group’s of practices, and associated centralised function, almost 20 years ago, allowing us to innovate to both improve patient care and enhance the wellbeing of our GPs. We are in the process of creating a centralised administrative hub which will allow us to further centralise, removing the day-to-day administrative burden from our GPs.
