We have 2 male GPs.

The practice offers both pre-bookable and book on the day appointments to accomodate all our patients lifestyles.

Nurse Appointments

Chronic Disease Management

Our nurses are here to help you manage your health if you have any of the following conditions, our nurses want to see you every year to check that everything's going OK

  • Heart Failure 
  • Coronary vascular disease prevention


Our Practice Nurse also provides the following clinics

  • Travel immunisations
  • Influenza clinic (winter time)
  • Phlebotomy
  • Pneumonia vaccination. This is available all year round for over 65s
  • Baby immunisations
  • Intra-uterine contraceptive device (IUCD)
  • Anti-coagulation
  • Minor Injury
  • Alcohol & drug misuse
  • Mental health


Antenatal Clinic

By appointment please telephone the practice for further information.

Blood Tests

The practice will supply you with a blood form if you need a blood test, this will either be given to you at  surgery or will be sent to you in the post as part of our Annual Review recall system.

Please check whether your form asks you to fast. If you are required to fast, please have only sips of water for 8 hours before the test. Please take any medication as normal.

You will need to contact the surgery between 7 to 10 days later to receive the results of your blood test and find out what you need to do next. 


Car Parking

There are 30 minute waiting bays situated outside the practice, however, there is also a car park on King Street (off of Deansgate), directly behind the practice. Marsden House is a tall, red brick, modern building with a curve to it at the corner of Deansgate.

From Chorley New Road

Head East on Chorley New Road (A673) towards Bolton Town Centre. The A673 merges with St. Georges Road, at the next junction, turn right onto Marsden Road. The practice is located 400m from the junction, on the left hand side, in the parade of shops.

From Deane Road

Head East along Deane Road and then North onto Moor Lane (A676) towards Deansgate, at the next junction, you'll see the practice at straight ahead of you to the right in the parade of shops.

From the A666/St Peter's Way

Continue along the A666 through Bolton Town Centre until you reach the junction of Topp Way, Kay Street, and Turton Street. Kay Street will be opposite you. Make a left turn and follow Topp Way to the next junction and get in the right hand land to go straight across and not turn off onto Marsden Road. The practice will be located 400m from the junction on the left hand side, in the parade of shops.

Out of Hours

During the hours the surgery is closed our calls will be diverted to NHS 111. Calls to NHS 111 are free from both mobile and landlines. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency during these times please dial 999

Other information

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Bolton General Practice in the last financial year was £55,160.04  before tax and NI. This calculation is for 1 full-time GPs and 2 locum GPs, who has worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
